Juku has a hybrid on-and-off-chain architecture in purpose of creating the best user experience.

Onchain

Juku minimizes the use of on-chain actions to lower costs and optimize performance. Only a few actions related to membership are performed on-chain, which include:

• Creating a quest with bounty (First quest's gas cost in on us empowered by Coinbase Paymaster!)

• Claiming the bounty rewards

• Edit / cancel your quest

• Raise a dispute

• Post recommendation on other profiles

Offchain

Juku utilizes a peer-to-peer decentralized storage called Ceramic to store user data, skill points, and social graph, among other things.

To optimize cost and performance, the majority of user actions and data are performed off-chain. These actions include:

• Responding to a quest

• Refer an expert on bounties

• Updating your profile information
